Customs Advice
The importation of certain products into a country is restricted in order to protect the economy and
safety of its citizens. The restrictions may be imposed by Customs or by any other agency which has
regulatory authority.
We provide a shipping service only and Customs at the parcel's destination will determine whether any
charges are payable on your package. All duties, taxes and/or quarantine fees applied are at the
discretion of local customs or governmental organisations and are out of our control.
If the addressee refuses to pay duties/taxes, the parcel may be held, returned (if allowed by Customs)
or destroyed, and additional costs may be incurred. As per Terms and Conditions, those charges will be
billed to the sender.
Please note, no shipping costs are recoverable for parcels held or destroyed, even if shipping
protection cover has been purchased.
Majority of parcels can be delivered door to door, once it has cleared customs at destination. However,
some countries have a door to airport service only. In those countries, the recipients may have to
present themselves to either Customs or the local courier's office to take possession of their
consignment.
We advise you to verify independently, all Customs, Governmental and Quarantine regulations. These rules
can and do frequently change without prior notice or recourse.

Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Malaysia is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Malaysia, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000

parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.

When a customer books a package delivery to Penang via RapidParcel.com, we look upon it as our duty to make the whole experience as simple and straightforward as it can be. Many of our customers are corporate in nature, and because we realise that booking a Penang package delivery is merely one of a great number of things that need handling in a busy working day we have developed an online booking system that can be easily accessed and rapidly completed. Just as vital to us, however, are the individual customers who may not have arranged a package delivery to Penang in the past, and who may therefore approach the process with a certain amount of trepidation. In both cases, for differing reasons, it's vital that booking shipping to Penang be made as straightforward and simple as possible, and we utilise the latest in technology to do just that.
Penang is a state on the north-west coast of Malaysia and has the highest population density in the whole of the country, measuring 1,450 people per square kilometre. It boasts the third largest economy on the island, with much of its money being generated via a thriving manufacturing sector. Amongst the hi-tech companies that have located bases in Penang are Hitachi, Intel, Dell, Bosch and Motorola, a concentration which has led to Penang being nicknamed Silicon Island. Other sectors that are vital to the island's economy are finance, shipping and tourism. This last brings almost six million visitors a year to Penang and, in the past, famous holiday makers have included Noël Coward, Queen Elizabeth II and Rudyard Kipling.
Our embracing of technology to make shipping to Penang as simple as possible starts the instant you access our website. The website itself is set out in a way that is clear and simple to comprehend, and you'll immediately be offered a list of the best couriers available to handle your parcel delivery to Penang, alongside prices that highlight our ability to negotiate the best rates on the market. Having made things easier by searching for and offering only the best couriers and prices, we then make things even simpler by providing a bulk upload facility for those with lots to send. This feature means you can securely upload your email address book to our website, thereby making sure that the address for your Penang parcel delivery is filled in automatically. The same can be done for deliveries across Malaysia, so a parcel delivery to Ampang or package delivery to Johor Bahru can be addressed in the same speedy, easy manner as your Penang shipping. This "auto-fill" feature is just one more example of how we do our utmost to make life easier for our customers, whether they're individuals booking a one-off Penang parcel delivery or corporate clients, for whom the bulk upload facility will streamline what would otherwise have been a very time-consuming clerical task.
Once you've made your booking, you can arrange convenient collection and then follow the item's progress every step of the way via our website, because at RapidParcel.com we put technology to work for the convenience of our customers.
