Customs
Gift Shipments are still subject to all the normal regulatory requirements of a consumption entry and must be met in order to gain Customs clearance.
Before sending your parcel to Japan, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

Documents Needed
After you have paid for a shipping service to Japan, you will be redirected
to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Japan is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Japan, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000
for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum
value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our
Terms & Conditions and subject to your
parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected
for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or
damage.

There are numerous factors that go to ensure RapidParcel.com offers the best choice for organising a Sapporo parcel delivery. We mix the newest developments in the business of shipping and a keenness to embrace the finest modern technology has to offer with a reliance on quality customer care and booking simplicity. It could be that the most important feature we offer to our customers, however, is the knowledge that whatever you're shipping to Sapporo will be transported with care from the moment you hand it over till the moment it arrives at its destination. For further peace of mind we recommend you consider taking out our additional shipment protection.
The Japanese city of Sapporo was host to the 1972 Winter Olympics and is known throughout the world for its annual Snow Festival, which draws over two million tourists a year to the city. Aside from the winter sports appeal, Sapporo is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the whole of the country, with over 14 million people visiting in 2006, the latest year for which figures are available. Buildings and points of interest that attract visitors include Sapporo Clock Tower, the Beer Museum and Hokkaido University. For visitors seeking more restful pastimes, the city boasts many gardens such as the Chizaki Rose Garden and the Hokkaido University Botanical Gardens.
Whether you have to arrange a parcel delivery to Sapporo for personal reasons or because you have commercial interests in the city, you'll want to be satisfied that your Sapporo shipping will be handled in the most professional manner possible. If it's reassurance you're seeking, then a brief look at our website will provide it, as you read through the list of couriers on offer to handle your Sapporo parcel delivery - names that you'll recognise and know are the world's leading international companies. Following this, you can take in the other features we provide. Chief amongst these is a partnership with Poundgates, one of the industry's leading providers of shipment protection.
Poundgates is ISO accredited and listed with Lloyds as an approved cover holder, so, in the unlikely event that anything should go wrong with your Sapporo package delivery, if you've chosen to take out our shipment protection you'll be able to take advantage of a level of cover that is as excellent as every other area of the service we offer. We regard shipment protection in precisely the same way we regard every other facet of your package delivery to Sapporo, meaning that we work with only the best in the business and make it easy to understand and simple to organise.
