Customs
Gift Shipments are still subject to all the normal regulatory requirements of a consumption entry and must be met in order to gain Customs clearance.
Before sending your parcel to Japan, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

Documents Needed
After you have paid for a shipping service to Japan, you will be redirected
to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Japan is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Japan, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000
for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum
value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our
Terms & Conditions and subject to your
parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected
for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or
damage.

Throughout our many years of business, we’ve always been keen to grasp the latest advances that technology has to offer, utilising all the benefits that the internet age presents, and putting them at the service of our customers. When making a package delivery to Osaka, you’ll be able to take advantage of this combination of the old-fashioned virtues of hard work, solid business sense and customer service, and the latest advances in communication and connectivity.
There are many reasons you might want to make an Osaka parcel delivery, not least the fact that the city, the third largest in Japan, has historically been the commercial centre of the country. Today it has a GDP which ranks seventh amongst the world’s major cities, and is home to the headquarters of companies such as Capcom, Sanyo, Sharp and Panasonic. A recent survey by Mastercard Worldwide ranked Osaka as the nineteenth most prosperous city in the world and it is one of the main drivers of the entire Japanese economy.
Your parcel delivery to Osaka will be handled by one of the world’s leading courier companies, because all the carriers we work with have earned that accolade over decades of providing the very best service available. In that time, we’ve refined and focused our Osaka shipping service until it’s become a unique combination of customer service, hands-on expertise and technological innovation.
Access our carriers from wherever you are
At RapidParcel.com we are committed to keeping abreast of technological changes so you can have the latest technology at your disposal to book your deliveries. That’s why we’ve developed a mobile-optimised website (Mobisite) for use on your smartphone, which means you can book your Osaka parcel delivery no matter where you are. No longer does your delivery have to be booked from a computer at the office or in your home. Using our Mobisite you can access RapidParcel.com no matter where you are, whether you’re commuting to and from the office, travelling between business appointments or simply happen to be on the move when you remember that you need to arrange a vital delivery to Osaka. Access via your mobile phone and our custom designed, easy-to-use Mobisite means that shipping to Osaka is never more than six simple steps away.
The same service is available no matter where you want to send your goods. You can use our Mobisite to arrange a package delivery to Yokohama or book a Tokyo parcel delivery. The key is that the process of organising a parcel delivery to Osaka, which would once have meant going in person to the offices of several couriers seeking the best deal and then filling in many long and difficult forms, can now be done in a matter of minutes exactly when and where you choose to do it. And just in case you’re worrying, this technological innovation doesn’t come at a cost – no matter how advanced the service we provide is, we still offer it at a market-leading price that you simply won’t be able to match elsewhere.
For many, it’s the price of their delivery that means most to them. While we rate quality of service, speed and professionalism up there with cost we have made every effort to ensure that the price you pay for our couriers to deliver your packages is always competitive and often the best available.
