Customs
Gift Shipments are still subject to all the normal regulatory requirements of a consumption entry and must be met in order to gain Customs clearance.
Before sending your parcel to Japan, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.
Customs website: http://www.customs.go.jp/
Documents Needed
After you have paid for a shipping service to Japan, you will be redirected
to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Japan is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Japan, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000
for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum
value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our
Terms & Conditions and subject to your
parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected
for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or
damage.

If you or your business regularly send Nagoya shipping then you’ll want to access couriers through a company willing to go the extra mile to offer care and support, and RapidParcel.com is just such a company. Over the years, we’ve worked with countless businesses and this experience has allowed us to fine-tune our service to meet the needs and requirements of corporate customers wishing to arrange bulk or repeated shipping to Nagoya. This has led to us offering features such as bulk uploading, flexible corporate pricing and an ‘auto-fill’ feature, which will save any business valuable time.
Nagoya is one of Japan’s largest ports, with a population of over two million people. It is one of the main centres of Japan’s car industry, with Toyota’s headquarters and Mitsubishi Motors’ R&D division being based there; on top of this, the aerospace companies Boeing and Pratt & Whitney also operate from Nagoya. Many people travelling to this city for reasons other than business are drawn by tourist attractions such as the Nagoya/Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Tokugawa Art Museum, Nagoya Castle, and the Atsuta Shrine, which displays a collection of over four thousand national treasures.
Our couriers are at your service
This activity, both business and private in nature, illustrates why so many companies might wish to make use of our corporate facilities when making a package delivery to Nagoya. Not only do we offer what might be termed ‘the basics’ for your Nagoya delivery – things such as only working with the very best couriers around, using a secure payment system and negotiating the best deals in the market – but we’ve used our experience and know-how to shape a corporate service that’s second to none. Amongst the things we provide for corporate customers are a bulk upload facility, a named support consultant available when you need them, and a flexible pricing mechanism, which means that the more shipping to Nagoya you arrange though us, the less you’ll pay for each individual package. Our streamlined booking process, meanwhile, minimises the time and paperwork involved in booking a Nagoya parcel delivery, freeing up your staff for the other tasks that make up a busy day.
For some of our corporate customers we go even further, offering credit facilities so that you have the convenience of one single payment each month for all your parcel shipments. We’re sure that this, in combination with the other facilities we offer, will make RapidParcel.com the obvious choice for corporate customers, whether they’re booking shipping to Nagoya, an Osaka parcel delivery or a package delivery to Yokohama, particularly in these difficult financial times.
Simply take a look at our website, familiarise yourself with the countless features RapidParcel.com offers and relax, safe in the knowledge that every single Nagoya parcel delivery is treated with the same dedication and care.
