Customs
Personal effects shipments and gifts may not be exempt from duties and taxes.
Personal effects shipments must be cleared by the actual consignee. Goods cannot be cleared by the courier or outside broker unless the consignee pay duties and taxes based on the value stipulated by customs after inspection. The receiver may need to travel to assist with clearance.
Before sending your parcel to Canada, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

Documents Needed
After you have paid for a shipping service to Canada, you will be redirected
to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Canada is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Canada, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000

parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected

Goods have been shipped from city to city and country to country for centuries and the virtues of careful handling and timely delivery have always been at the heart of what couriers have to offer. When you book a package delivery to Winnipeg with the RapidParcel.com courier comparison and booking website, however, you'll be dealing with a company that combines these virtues with a willingness to use the very best that modern computer technology has to offer to make finding the right courier at the best rate then booking them far simple than it has ever been before.
Winnipeg is the capital city of the Manitoba region of Canada, and its first-class railway links to the United States of America and the rest of Canada make it a major regional transport and shipping centre. The city itself is economically prosperous, boasting, according to the Conference Board of Canada, a GDP growth of 2.9%, which makes it the third fastest growing city in Canada today. This financial strength is based on an economy that is diverse, taking in finance, retail, tourism and manufacturing amongst other things. Those willing to take advantage of this economic vibrancy by shipping to Winnipeg will be relieved to hear that, in 2006, the accountants KPMG declared that Winnipeg was one of the least expensive places in Canada to do business.
Although we use our website to make booking a Winnipeg parcel delivery a quick and simple process involving six easy logical steps, we appreciate that in today's world many people may find it difficult to get to a computer every time they need to book a Winnipeg package delivery. That's why we have created a mobile-optimised website (Mobisite) for use on your mobile phone to let people make bookings whilst they're on the move. The service is exactly the same but, thanks to this innovative use of the latest technology, you can now make a Winnipeg package delivery as soon as the thought occurs to you, whether you're on a train travelling to work or in the middle of a meeting. As soon as you need to arrange Winnipeg shipping, you'll be able to do so. This is just one example of the way in which we tailor our service to meet the demands of customers today.
Once, booking Winnipeg shipping would have been time consuming and would have meant having to go along to couriers in person. Now, we place these couriers in the palm of your hand, allowing you to choose between the best couriers in the world whilst you're out and about getting on with your life and, what's more, you'll know that the price you're paying for your parcel delivery to Winnipeg is a deal we've negotiated on your behalf that you won't find matched anywhere else. The same levels of excellence and convenience apply to our shipping all over Canada, so you can arrange a parcel delivery to Quebec City or a package delivery to Edmonton at the same time as you're booking your Winnipeg shipping, all without having to be tied to the office or your computer.
