Shipments
Shipments delivered via Rapid Standard will not necessarily be delivered to the addressee personally. The Carrier may deliver a package to the addressee shown on the barcode label or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the package on the addressee's behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the addressee or neighbours of the addressee). When shipping to residential address, if the drop off location is in a safe area, then the courier driver will leave the parcel at your doorstep.
Documents Needed?
After you have paid for a delivery service within UK, you will be redirected to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Waybill - barcode label) - Address label.
The above documents must be attached to the parcel. Otherwise your package will be rejected by the driver.
Restricted Goods
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on luggage.
A shipment within UK is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air Transport Association), ADR (Euro-pean Road Transport Regulation on dangerous goods) or other relevant organisation. Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently forbidden for transport.
The following page displays a sampling of common prohibited and restricted goods.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to United Kingdom, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000
for a small additional fee.
If you do not purchase enhanced Shipment Protection, your shipment will be only covered to a maximum
value of £50 as per the limited liability set out in our
Terms & Conditions and subject to your
parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected
for Shipment Protection. We encourage all customers to purchase shipment protection cover for loss or
damage.

Because we've been delivering goods all over the world for more than twenty years we've experienced just about every situation that our industry could throw at us. That's why we provide such a comprehensive service including so many ways for our customers to tailor what we do for them when they book their parcel delivery to Newcastle through us. No matter what the details of your Newcastle shipping, we'll have the solution needed to cope with it, and we'll do so without charging prices that will break the bank.
Newcastle is situated on the banks of the River Tyne in the North East of the United Kingdom. Over the years it has been a centre for coal mining, shipbuilding, ship repairing and the wool trade. Although in the past the city has been synonymous with heavy industries, in recent years Newcastle has re-invented itself as a retail and business centre. Newcastle's Eldon Square shopping centre is currently the largest city centre shopping complex in the United Kingdom and the main shopping street in the city centre, Northumberland Street, was ranked in 2004 as having the highest retail rental prices outside London. Shopping aside, Newcastle has an unrivalled reputation for a vibrant nightlife - indeed, the Rough Guide to Britain placed Newcastle's nightlife in the position of being Great Britain's number one tourist attraction.
While we concentrate on the basics, like working with the finest couriers and negotiating the best prices for shipping to Newcastle, we like to think our in-depth knowledge and attention to detail mean we provide the key extra features for your Newcastle parcel delivery that mark our service out as being above and beyond any other. We make the same promise for shipping anywhere in the UK, so a parcel delivery to Cardiff or package delivery to Sheffield will offer the same wide range of features as a Newcastle package delivery.
We realise, for example, that many US online retailers refuse to ship internationally, which, in the past, would have meant that booking a package delivery to Newcastle from America was simply impossible. We believe in giving our customers exactly what they need, however, so if you want something from an American website shipping to Newcastle then, for a small fee, we'll supply you with an American postal address from which your Newcastle shipping can be redirected. This is just one more example of the way in which we use our experience and knowledge to make arranging a package delivery to Newcastle quick, simple and, most importantly, individually tailored to meet the customer's specific needs. For business customers we provide features such as bulk uploading of addresses and a corporate credit facility subject to status, whilst individuals making a package delivery to Newcastle, which is perhaps their first such experience, may feel more comfortable making their booking at one of our dedicated 'Rapid Parcel & Post' parcel drop-off points, where a trained member of staff can guide them through each stage of their booking. At RapidParcel.com we like to think we provide the very best combination of the big picture and the smallest detail.
