Customs
The receiver in Nigeria will need to be registered with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and have a Tax Identification Number (TIN). No customs clearance can take place without this TIN number and failure to obtain the TIN number before the arrival of the consignment will result in delays and potential additional costs.
Passports, credit cards, jewellery, cosmetics, toiletries, etc are prohibited for import into Nigeria.
Before sending your parcel to Nigeria, please make sure that none of the items in your parcels contravene the restrictions imposed by customs at destination.

Documents Needed
After you have paid for a shipping service to Nigeria, you will be redirected
to a page where you can download and print out the relevant shipping labels, i.e
AWB (Courier Air Waybills - barcode) - Proforma or Commercial invoice - Address label.
The above documents are standard for any international shipment.
Please note, if additional documentation is required for the import of any particular item, it is the
customer's responsibility to provide them at destination.
Restrictions
Goods travelling by 'Cargo' are subject to different restrictions to those travelling as carry-on
luggage.
A shipment to Nigeria is deemed unacceptable if: it is classified as
hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted articles by IATA (International Air
Transport Association), ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) or other relevant organisation.
Many items which appear harmless in everyday use can pose danger on air transport and are consequently
forbidden for transport.

Packing Advice
Your parcel must be boxed and well packaged. This will reduce the risk of damage to any item during
transit or any associated automated distribution process.
Please be aware the item is not taken by hand from collection to destination and will visit many sorted
facilities on its journey. For that reason, you need to protect the items to ensure they make it from A
to B safely.
The following packaging guidelines are recommendations to assist you in packaging your shipment:

Shipment Protection
When you book a shipping service to Nigeria, you will be able to choose an
appropriate level of cover for your shipment. We offer enhanced parcel protection for up to £2000

parcel passing minimum packaging requirements.
Please note that the declared value for customs purposes is not related to the declared value selected

Arranging a parcel delivery to Kano without the help of RapidParcel.com can be a lengthy and tedious process. You'll have to track down the right couriers, quiz them over the level of service they provide, negotiate with them in an attempt to get the best value deal for your Kano shipping, and so on. But why put yourself through all that when our courier comparison website has done all of the hard work for you already? We know that, particularly if you're part of a business that has to organise shipping to Kano on a regular basis, these are tasks you would sooner avoid, leaving the time free to concentrate on the daily running of your business. At RapidParcel.com we see it as our job to take as much of the work of arranging a package delivery to Kano as possible away from our customers, using the latest in internet technology to streamline and simplify the process.
Kano is the second largest city in Nigeria, with only the capital Lagos being larger and more populous. The city is the economic hub of the northern part of the country, due in no small part to its equidistant access to the seaports at Lagos and Port Harcourt, making it a regional centre for the distribution of imported goods throughout the country and wider area. There has been a settlement at the site of Kano since the seventh century and, over the years, the city has been ruled over by various tribes and religions, including a period under British rule. Today it is the state capital and has a population of over two million people, an international airport and a worldwide centre for the production and export of groundnuts. Visitors to Kano are advised to take in the Durbar festival, a colourful event which culminates in a parade of brightly dressed horsemen.
Whatever the nature of your business requirements in Kano, if you need to arrange a Kano package delivery on a regular basis or in bulk, then you'll truly value the trouble we take to accommodate the varied requirements of our corporate customers. Our bulk upload feature makes it possible for you to arrange multiple deliveries to multiple addresses all at once, using the same straightforward steps required to make a single Kano parcel delivery. The use of internet technology and auto-fill functionality does away with the requirement for long and difficult form filling and clerical work, meaning that the time you have to spend organising shipping to Kano is reduced to the minimum possible. We make the same strenuous efforts to ensure that it's as quick and easy to closely monitor your Kano parcel delivery once you've sent it on its way; our website tracks its progress in and out of every depot from the moment you hand it over to when it reaches its destination and, once again, this is as easy to use for multiple deliveries as it is for a single Kano parcel delivery. So, if you want a combination of the finest couriers, the keenest prices and convenience of use, then make RapidParcel.com your first port of call when you want to book a package delivery to Kano.
